Setting network port IP addresse s using the CLI port and cable

  * Preparing a Linux computer be fore cabling to the CLI port
Although Linux operating systems do not require installation  of a device driver, certain parameters must be provided 
during driver loading to enable recognition of the MSA 2040 controller enclosures. 
To load the Linux device driver with the correct parameters, the following command is required:

modprobe usbserial vendor=0x210c product=0xa4a7 use_acm

Network ports on controller module A 
and controller module B are configured with the following factory-default IP 
settings:

Management Port IP Address
:
10.0.0.2 (controller A), 10.0.0.3 (controller B)
•IP Subnet Mask
: 255.255.255.0
•
Gateway IP Address
: 10.0.0.1


Press Enter
 to display the CLI prompt (#).
The CLI displays the system versio
n, MC version, and login prompt:
a.
At the login prompt, enter the default user
manage.
b.
Enter the default password
!manage.

set advanced-settings missing-lun-response notready|illegal

illegal: Sends a reply that there is a LUN but that the request is “illegal.” Sense data returned

is sensekey = 5, code = 25h, qualifier = 0. If the system is used in a VMware environment, use this option.

Using hponcfg you do not need a valid username/password, but the syntax needs to be in the XML file your feeding to iLO

Fault code : 3061 (hard)

HP recommend this for the error:
â ¢ Press the Enter button to reboot.
â ¢ Ensure cartridges are fully inserted in the magazine(s).
â ¢ Ensure that there are no obstructions inside the library (all cartridges are in magazines).
â ¢ Run the cartridge cycle diagnostic to verify.
â ¢ Check the tape cartridge used in the last operation for damage.
